A Proper Pause

This was my very first detailed sketch—created slowly, with care, and a lot of curiosity. I loved the idea of giving a simple moment its own sense of importance: a quiet pause, a cup held gently, a creature fully present. This piece marks the beginning of my relationship with sketching as more than practice—it became a place to play, to soften, and to tell small stories. It’s a reminder that even the simplest moments deserve attention.
