Becoming Still” is about the moment after the storm—when everything inside finally quiets. I painted this face with closed eyes to reflect surrender, not defeat, but peace. The layers around her hold movement, color, and past emotion, while she remains calm within it all. This piece is a reminder that healing doesn’t always look loud or dramatic. Sometimes it looks like softness, breath, and allowing yourself to rest inside who you are becoming.
