Tide Between World

Some versions of us

were never meant to survive the shore.

They had to sink deeper,

past the noise,

past the expectations,

past the versions of ourselves

built only to keep others comfortable.

And somewhere in the quiet blue beneath it all,

we changed.

Not loudly.

Not all at once.

Softly.

Like tides carving stone.

Like moonlight teaching the ocean how to glow.

People think transformation looks like fire.

But sometimes it looks like water.

Sometimes it is drifting.

Trusting.

Letting the current carry away

everything that was never truly yours to hold.

And when you finally rise again,

you do not return as who you were.

You return luminous.
